American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) held their fourth annual Premier Sale in Las Vegas earlier this month. This ground breaking sale continued to set industry records with $518,000 being bid on 23 lots. Some of the industry’s hottest prospects, established buckers and rising stars changed hands among stock contractors.
“We were really happy to once again bring our annual sale to South Point,” said ABBI Executive Director Jay Daugherty. “This is the one sale each year where folks know they can get a wide variety of genetics and bulls that they can compete with- whether that’s a younger bull for ABBI events, or an established, older bucker for the PBRs.”
The highest selling bucking bull was Big Black (Robison/Haworth) who sold for $140,000 and went on to tie for ABBI Reserve Classic World Champion later that evening for new owners Joe and Nina Webb and K Bar C. K Bar C also picked up D&H/Barthold stand-out Inferno for $51,000.
Marty (Tomlin/ Allen/ Mills/ The Jaynes Gang) was the top selling 2-year-old in the sale, going for $40,000 to Hadley Hopkins. Seven-time PBR Stock Contractor of the Year Chad Berger added several bulls to his trucks, including Uncle Wormy (Swinging C) who sold for $31,000.
Jim McLain/TwoBulls and Cattleac both generously donated lots whose sales went to benefit the ABBI Junior Program. Jack and Dot Verbois continued their tradition of donating beautiful handcrafted Native American inspired items to benefit the ABBI Junior Program as well.
ABBI is proud to partner with some of the leading companies in the entertainment, ranching, agriculture and western lifestyle industries. Please contact Jay Daugherty at +1 (719) 242-2747 if you'd like to be a part of our corporate family.
