How the American Breeder's Trust works:
If your bull calf is sired by an eligible bull, he may be enrolled in the American Breeder's Trust incentive program. Bulls should be nominated either as an annual sire or as a lifetime sire, the year the cows are bred. The following year, when those calves are born, the calves can be enrolled in the American Breeder's Trust. If the calves compete as two-year-olds in the ABBI futurities, they will be eligible for the incentives. The incentives are paid in addition to event prize money.
Bull Nominations:
$250 by July 1, of the BREEDING YEAR for the following year's calf crop;
OR
$1000 for a Lifetime Nomination.
$750.00 per bull prior to March 1st of the calf crop year to make those calves eligible for enrollment.
After March 1st a supplemental penalty of $2,500.00 per bull will be required to make the calves eligible for enrollment.
Calf Enrollments:
$250 by December 31st of the birth year
OR
$150 by December, 31st of the birth year, plus $150 by December 31st of the following year.
After December 31st, a late penalty of $1000.00 will be required to be eligible.
